I’m Leila Nabih (pron. Nabee), self-taught illustrator and entrepreneur of both French and Egyptian origins. I work out of my home studio in Bridgwater, Somerset, in the United Kingdom.

After years in the digital world, I’ve returned to the tactile joy of paper and pencil. From my attic studio, I’m currently building a new body of work focused on the warmth and texture of traditional media.Inspired by quiet interior scenes, warm lighting, storytelling, and classical chiaroscuro techniques, but rendered with a soft, modern whimsy, my current focus is on capturing light and character through layered pastels and colored pencils.
The materials
Every piece is handcrafted using professional-grade pencils, pastels, and heavy-weight papers. There are no 'undo' buttons here—just intentional strokes and physical color.My favourite media are colouring pencils, oil pastels and chalk pastels.
The influence
My work is deeply rooted in the world of children’s literature and classic illustration.
