The 100 Day Project

My followers on Instagram would already know this but I thought I’d share it here as well.

I’m participating this year in the #the100dayproject along with other fabulous people of various passions. The concept is simple. Over the next 100 days, you pledge yourself to produce something so that at the end, you have enough material to finish a project.

This is probably an exercise for people like me, procrastinators, or for those who can’t find the time to finish a project because they already have a very long list of things to do each day.

I’m going to try and find the time to work around baby’s routine and house chores to start and finish a book that I’ve been meaning to do for sometime now. It’ll be a simple book about animals with my art in it. I’ll add the English name and the French name to each animal as we are aiming to raise a bilingual little boy.

I’ve already started such a project in the past but it was put on hold , along with other projects, when baby was born. I’m starting over and I hope this time, I’ll be able to keep up.

I’ll be posting daily on Instagram, so follow me there if you want a glimpse of the art in the book.

Wish me luck!

Yes. That’s the idea. But the bigger thing is a project of yours that you want to complete. Say a book with around themed illustrations. Just do one each day, or at least sketch one each day . At the end of the 100 days, you have a collection of sketches to work on and choose from, refine and rework . The concept is to help you divide a big task into smaller tasks. I hope that helps?
